Follow this guide to troubleshoot missing emails, update your email settings, and make sure important messages from 8020REI reach your inbox.
Are you missing emails, notifications, or updates from 8020REI? In many cases, the messages are being filtered by your email provider or your organization's security settings rather than failing to send.
Use the steps below to locate missing messages and help prevent future emails from being marked as spam or blocked.
? Before You Start
- Know which email address you use to communicate with 8020REI.
- Check whether you use Gmail, Outlook, or a company-managed email account.
- If your company manages your email security, you may need assistance from your IT administrator.
1. Check Your Spam, Junk, and Other Folders
Your email provider may automatically move messages from 8020REI into a different folder, even if you have received emails from us before.
Check the following locations:
- Spam or Junk: Look for messages that may have been incorrectly flagged.
- Promotions or Other tabs: Some providers automatically sort incoming messages into separate categories.
- Quarantine: Company email security systems may hold messages for review.
- Deleted Items or Trash: Check whether a message was accidentally deleted.
- Blocked Senders: Confirm that an 8020REI sender has not been blocked.
? Quick Tip
Use your email provider's search bar to search for 8020REI, your Customer Success Manager's name, or a known sender address. Searching across all folders may help you find messages that are not visible in your inbox.
2. Mark 8020REI Emails as Safe
If you find an 8020REI email in Spam or Junk, mark it as Not spam or Not junk. This helps your provider recognize that the message is legitimate.
Whenever possible, move the message back to your inbox and add the sender to your contacts or safe sender list.
For Gmail users
- Open Gmail and go to Spam.
- Find the email sent by 8020REI.
- Open the message and click Report not spam.
- If available, add the sender to your Google Contacts.
- Follow the safe-sender instructions in Section 3 to help prevent future messages from being filtered.
For Outlook users
- Open Outlook and go to Junk Email.
- Find the email sent by 8020REI.
- Select the message and choose Not junk or the equivalent option available in your version of Outlook.
- If prompted, confirm that the sender is trusted.
- Follow the safe-sender instructions in Section 3.
?3. Add 8020REI to Your Safe Senders or Allowlist
Adding trusted sender addresses or the 8020REI domain to your safe sender list may help reduce the likelihood that legitimate messages are filtered.
Where your email provider and company policies allow it, ask your email administrator to review the following:
Recommended sender information
| Domain | 8020rei.com |
| Notification sender | notifications@8020rei.com |
| Other senders | Your assigned Customer Success Manager or 8020REI Support sender address. |
Important: Only allowlist sender addresses and domains confirmed to be used by 8020REI. If you're unsure which address is being used, contact your Customer Success Manager or Support team before making changes.
Adding a sender to a personal safe sender list may not override your organization's spam filters, quarantine policies, or email security gateway. In those cases, your IT administrator may need to review the configuration.
4. Check Your Email Rules and Security Settings

- Blocked addresses: Make sure relevant 8020REI sender addresses are not on a blocked list.
- Forwarding settings: Check whether messages are being forwarded to another mailbox.
