Here are some of the recommendations before importing a skip trace file.

MAKE SURE property address and mailing addresses are added on the file. If you import Mailing Addresses as Property address you won't be targeting the right address.
Some vendors provide a golden address if you have it make sure to import it.
If your vendor provides Bankruptcy information. Replace all Y with a 1 and N with a 0.
If your vendor provides Deceased information. Rename the name of the column for "Estate" Replace all Y with a 1 and N with a 0.
If your vendor provides Age information. Rename the column to "Senior" and add a 1 for all the people above 55 years old and a 0 for all the rows below 55 years old.
